​I have attended numerous short courses, workshops and TAFE courses with many talented and generous teachers as well as attending Charles Stuart University summer school in Bathurst for three years but am mostly self-taught.
My medium is predominantly oil on stretched canvas and wood panels as well as some works in acrylic, pastel and gouache. ​
Like most artists I love light and colour. I also have great respect and fascination for the process of oil painting. It is not the fastest of mediums, the chemistry must be understood and it has a long history all of which adds to its challenge and enjoyment for me.
​I also revel in the vibrancy and immediacy of the faster drying times of acrylic and gouache.
My subjects are many and diverse. I love strong colour, design and the stories behind the paintings
